This domain features 1 main villa with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and 5 independent bungalows: 3 bungalows with 1 kingsize bed, 1 with 2 bedrooms and a studio. A separate bungalow serves as a gym. All properties are disposed around a large swimming pool. The property is located in a quiet residential area at 5’ walking distance from Playa Las Ballenas, the locals’ favorite beach.
The current owner, a Canadian ex-pat, has been running the domain as a BED AND BREAKFAST for the last 5 years. A thriving business with growth potential for group rentals, along with weddings, yoga retreats, and getaways for friends meeting in one place.
Playa Las Ballenas is a beautiful, large and clean beach perfect for families. It starts right after the famous fisherman village where you find many fine restaurants and ends with a lovely river. With very few waves, Las Ballenas is safe for kids and perfect to swim as well as snorkel. Our favorite spot to snorkel is at the end of Las Ballenas, on the left looking at the ocean, you'll find plenty of corals and tropical fishes.
The street along the beach of Las Ballenas is a dead end, only people living, visiting, or working there are driving which makes it very quiet. Another reason why Las Ballenas is cherished by expatriates who've been living here for many years is its direct access to the town of Las Terrenas. Other beaches like playa Popy also offer the same convenience. Perhaps its most distinctive trait is the many and wonderful bars and restaurants spread along the beach where food and drinks can be enjoyed feet in the sand. Also, it is one of the largest, not longest but largest beaches of Las Terrenas.
